This is the list of 40 colleges from a well-known book by Loren Pope, called Colleges that Change Lives. The book focuses on schools that go beyond rankings and myths. It recognizes 40 smaller and less known schools which offer outstanding education and in many instances are a sources of scholarships and individual attention.
