Rules and Regulations

Mentees

Do’s

  •      Respect your mentor! Listen, learn, and do.
  •      Try to avoid asking mentors the same questions over and over again.
  •      Make sure that the e-mails you send your mentors are clear and concise.
  •      Make use of all the guidelines provided for you.
  •      Do as much research as you can yourself and ask your mentor about things that you cannot find the answers by yourself.
  •      Follow the steps advised by the mentorship committee.

Don’ts

  •      Do not communicate through phone to your mentors unless of emergency or when they are fine with it.
  •      Do not offer payment to your mentor, this program is purely done voluntarily
  •      Do not miss any mentorship meetings.

Mentors

Do’s

  •      Always ask the mentorship program committee when you are in need of mentorship resources or information.
  •      Answer questions from your mentees as soon as you can
  •      Elaborate your advices in the simplest way to ensure your mentees understand your inputs.
  •      Make use of all the guidelines provided for you.
  •      Encourage your mentees to do their own research instead of doing it for them
  •      Follow the steps advised by the mentorship committee.

Don’ts

  •      Do not encourage communication with your mentees by phone unless you are comfortable with it.
  •      Do not hesitate to tell the mentorship committee if you face any problems with your mentees
  •      Do not miss any meetings that are compulsory for you.
